What's the secret, Max?

Things I Like: Watsky.
I like rap. Now when you look at me, I know I don't really look like the type. But let's be honest, there are quite a lot of youngish caucasian girls proclaiming themselves as Gambino connoisseurs. (I can recite Lights Turned On disgustingly flawlessly.) I feel like Childish Gambino and Watsky are kindred spirits. They're by no means the same. But they're a lot more akin to one another than trying to put them next to Jay-Z or The Game (also very, very good).
I've really only been listening to Watsky since the beginning of the year, but I remember rumblings of him stealing the show at Vidcon. Specifically with a particular stage dive. But he's become my jam and I even have tickets to see him when he comes to London on his tour. Excite. So in celebration of his new album, Cardboard Castles, which drops in a matter of hours, I thought I'd share some of my favorites. By the way, for a limited time you can listen to the entire new album for free.

Beauty and the Brain
So if you found yourself wiping tears at the prospect of not getting to look at outdated photographs of my life happenings, I'm here to reassure you. Come my darling, let us venture back to November where I somehow found myself at a beauty blogger event in the heart of London. My flatmate Kayley alerted me and Sanne to it. Though none of us really had any idea what it entailed besides hearing one of our favorite fashion YouTubers, Rhiannon, speak on a panel.
I remember there being a surplus of fashionable people in attendance, but the Q&A quickly turned into a lot of people from companies asking about the business approach to beauty blogging which was kind of a drag. Here's me studiously prepped to take notes.
Refreshments included champagne and cupcakes.
What kind of disappointed me about the event was it seemed to be advertised as a mixer event, but no one was really talking to each other. The exception to this was Julia! We got to chatting with her and found out she was an American studying in the UK as well.
I leave you with the derpinamode crew doing what they do best.

August NL09: S'long nederlands.
--You walk these streets
laid out by the insane, past hotels
that didn't last, bars that did,--
--the tortured try
of local drivers to accelerate their lives.
This was one of my final days in the Netherlands which makes this the final batch of photos from my ten day summer stay. Hope you guys have enjoyed reliving it alongside me. I'm really, really crap at cycling. Well. Not so much "crap" as unconfident and anxious at the prospect of and when doing so.
We biked into town to meet up with one of Sanne's friends since it was her birthday. And we got Dutch pancakes. This is mushroom and cheese. I KNOW. I. KNOW. It tasted as good as it looks.
Then some beach group selfies because of reasons. All hail Sanne's wide angle lens.
Sunsets and dropped sunnies.
And much of this can be viewed in motion in the end bits of this:

August NL08: Paleis Het Loo.
Ain't it just regal. This was one of my tourist days with Sanne. Welcome to Paleis Het Loo. I don't know what it means, if it means anything, and can't be bothered to google a link for you, but as I'm sure you can ascertain--the place was gorgeous.
Gardens, little moats (with fish!), and hot hot hotter than hell.
The place honestly felt like something out of a Joe Wright film.
It was so sweltering that we caved and bought ice cream. Here's me with my first ever Split, some kind of orange and cream number. Sanne filmed a lot of my outfits while I was in the Netherlands, and some footage of this day trip made it in the video:
