Lipstick Assistance.

So this morning I actually made an effort to get dressed for the day.  I narrowed down my lip color to four choices, and because I am a child of the interwebz, I consulted none other than my Dutch best friend for the final selection.

The Sundance Ascent.

Can we talk about how beautiful the world is?  This is seriously one of my favorite drives.  In the world. WORLD.  This world, my goodness!  I'm in a weird mood.  I have been for the last couple days.  It's a good weird.  But all the same, weird.  I've become one of those people who like to shout about how beautiful this planet is.  But seriously.  Look at it, and how can you not be in love.

This was my third year attending Sundance, the film festival that occurs annually at the end of January in Park City, UT.  I fly into Salt Lake City and then it's about a fifty minute drive to Park City.  And it's honestly one of the most breathtaking rides.  The mountains surrounding you.  It's unreal.  The feeling it puts in my stomach.  I don't think I'll be attending the festival again for quite some time, but that drive--I'm gonna miss that drive something fierce.  It was always such a great way to begin my little sabbatical away from real life, kicking off a couple days of surreal euphoria.

Pre-op

So I've been missing the blog thing lately.  And I have such a backlog of pictures.  Let's see if I can resurrect this puppy from its slumber!

These pictures are from back in, gosh I guess it was in February.  The hacking of my hair.  My former roommate and good friend Katie drove me to the salon which was in a work/live loft on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles.  How do I come up with these things.  Oh right, spending a stupid amount of time on yelp whenever I wanted my hair done in LA.  Jenni was incredibly professional and had the most stunning personal style--I couldn't not feel comfortable with whatever she decided to do with my head.

In unrelated news, I'm feeling super ill because I ate some of Mom's leftover sushi, and I didn't know it had crab in it.  Vegetarian of 4+ years and stomach is not a happy pappy.  Suppose it serves me right, deliriously eating after an undocumented amount of hours driving.
